Help with the phux mobile apps for iOS and Android, and with the phux server they connect to.
get in touch
- Email: privacy@phall.io. Account, subscription, and app problems all go here.
- Bugs and feature requests: open an issue onGitHub. Do not paste pairing links or tokens into an issue.
- From the app: open Settings, then "support diagnostics" in the SUPPORT section. You can read the redacted report before you send, share, or copy it. It contains no terminal content, server names, addresses, or tokens.
connecting to a phux server
The app connects to a phux server that you install and run on your own Mac or Linux machine. The server is free. On Apple-silicon macOS or a supported Linux host, install it with Homebrew:
brew install no-phux/tap/phuxor with the release installer:
curl -fsSL https://phux.sh/install | shThen, on that machine, run phux pair --qr and scan the QR code from the app, or open the pairing link it prints on your phone. The install guide covers other platforms, andremote access covers reaching your server from outside your local network.
If the app cannot connect, check that the server is running, that your phone can reach it on the network, and that the pairing link has not been revoked. Run phux pair --qr again for a fresh link. See troubleshooting for more.
trying the app without a server
On the first screen, tap "open the playground". It runs a working terminal on your device, with no server, account, or installation. "don't have phux yet?" on the same screen shows the install command.
phux Pro subscriptions
Manage or cancel. On iOS, subscriptions are billed by Apple. Cancel or change your plan in the Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then phux. In phux, the SUBSCRIPTION section of Settings shows your plan and, while a subscription is active, offers "manage subscription", which opens Apple's subscription management. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid renewal. On Android, manage subscriptions in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions.
Restore purchases. On a new device, or after reinstalling, tap "upgrade to Pro" in the SUBSCRIPTION section of Settings, then "restore purchases". Use the same Apple Account you subscribed with. The app reports "purchases restored" or that no phux Pro purchase was found for that Apple Account.
Refunds. Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. Request one atreportaproblem.apple.com.
your account
An account is optional. Every terminal feature works without one; an account only syncs your settings across devices. You can sign in with Apple or with a one-time code sent to your email address.
Deleting your account. Open Settings from the app header and, in the ACCOUNT section, tap "delete account", then confirm. This deletes your phux account and its synced servers and settings. It does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that as described above. If your app does not offer in-app deletion, emailprivacy@phall.io.
Exporting your data. While signed in, tap "export account data" in the ACCOUNT section to get everything your account holds as a JSON file.
privacy
Your terminal traffic goes directly between your device and your own server and never reaches us. The privacy policydescribes what the apps and services collect and how to access or delete it.
